This was our second "non-fly" cruise.
We joined a coach at Trowell Services on the M1 which took us to Southampton where we boarded Sapphire Princess to start our cruise.

To avoid visiting madeira at the same time as Storm Leslie, our captain decided to cancel the visit and proceed directly from Vigo to Lanzarote.

Originally steam powered but electrically driven since 1907.
From the upper level there is a flight of steps to the viewing platform.
