The recent heatwave tempted us into a trip to the seaside so we booked three nights in Torquay.
The number 12 bus runs from Newton Abbot, through Torquay and Paignton to Brixham. It's only a short run and the bus pass is accepted so it's an ideal way to get around with no parking problems.

Paignton bus station is across the road from the train station, which is next to the "steam" train station and it's a short walk from there, over the level crossing to the beach and the pier.
Quite coincidentally, Wetherspoon has a very nice pub down that road too, (The Talk Of The Town) very handy for a morning coffee and evening lunch.

The last stop on the bus route is Brixham which is always worth a visit.
The harbour area offers a short but very attractive stroll with a great assortment shops providing ice cream, fish & chips, pastries etc., all the usual seaside goodies.
Brixham also has a very nice Wetherspoons pub, The Vigilance.
